Any Economics major whose cumulative grade point average in the upper-division major courses falls below a 2.0 may be placed on departmental probation. In addition, if a student's overall grade point average falls below a 2.0 the student will be placed on probation by the College of Letters and Science and may be subject to University dismissal.
