About Nick Tsivanidis

Nick Tsivanidis joined the department in 2019 as an assistant professor. He is Director of the Cities Research Program at the International Growth Centre. He received his PhD from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and was a post-doctoral fellow at Dartmouth College before joining Berkeley. His research centers on connecting theory with empirics that combine new sources of granular data with natural experiments to learn about the process of urbanization in developing countries.
