The faculty, staff, and students of the Economics Department express their
deepest sorrow and shock at the tragic death of Nicolas Leslie on Bastille
Day in Nice, France. Nick had taken Econ 1 and Econ 100A in 2015-16. We
extend our heartfelt sympathy to his parents, family, and friends. We
condemn in the strongest terms the acts of violence that have devastated
our Cal community.
