Economics announcements submission instructions

Thank you for your interest in submitting an item to the weekly Economics Announcement. We appreciate your help as we strive to effectively communicate with 1000+ Economics majors who receive the announcement via email every Monday. Please review the information below. Policy/Procedure for Submitting Items (Implemented Fall 2012)

This policy governs the development and distribution of the Economics Announcement sent weekly (Monday morning) during the academic year by Economics Undergraduate Student Services (EUSS) office at Berkeley to approximately 1,000 undergraduate economics students. By submitting an entry to our listing you agree to abide by this policy.

Inclusions and Exclusions:  EUSS reserves the sole right to determine the content for the Announcement. Submissions may or may not be included due to space constraints or other factors. Only submissions which are of clear interest to Berkeley economics undergraduate students as determined by EUSS will be included. Priority will be given to submissions from campus faculty/staff/organizations, but off-campus submissions deemed of interest to students will be considered as space permits (i.e. scholarship announcements, internships, job opportunities). EUSS will include information about economics student organization events (i.e. industry speakers, outreach events), but due to the number of organizations announcements for regular general meetings will not be included.  No explicit content, solicitations, or market place listings such as buying and selling of goods and services will be considered for inclusion.

Accuracy:  EUSS is not responsible for the accuracy or otherwise of any entry in the listing. It is the responsibility of the person who submits the listing to ensure that their listing is accurate when first submitted.

Submissions:  Submissions may not be longer than 6 sentences maximum and should include a link for additional information. EUSS reserves the right to edit submissions to meet space constraints. No attachments may be included.  Text links will break; include full URLs.  The Announcement will be sent to undergraduate economics students once each week (Monday morning) during the academic year. You must email your submission no later than 4 p.m. Friday to guarantee inclusion for the following Monday's Announcement.  We cannot guarantee inclusion for items submitted after the deadline.  Send a plain text email with the below information to ugrad@econ.berkeley.edu.  We do not send attachments.
