4.34 Discrete Choice Models Incorporating Revealed Preferences and Psychometric Data (formerly entitled "Incorporating Psychometric Data in Econometric Travel Models") This paper proposes a methodology for incorporating psychometric data such as stated preferences and subjective ratings of service attributes in econometric travel demand models. The first approach combines revealed preference (RP) and stated preferenec (SP) data to estimate discrete choice models. The second approach employee a linear structural equation model to identify latent explanatory variables of choice behavior. An empirical case study demonstrates the effectiveness and practicality of the methodology.
